After a four year break from football, Tiki Barber has decided to unretire and make a comeback in the NFL. I mean, really, come on. Barber was watching last years playoffs with his trainer Joe Carini and brought up the crazy idea that he would like to play football again. Barber, if reinstated, will still be under contract with the New York (Football) Giants. But according to team spokesman Pat Hanlon on Twitter " We wish Tiki nothing but the best, and when we are able to make the transaction, we will release him from our reserve/retired list."
There might be plenty of teams that might like to have Barber, 36, line up behind quarterback. Could there be a reunion in Tampa Bay with twin brother, Safety Rhonde Barber.
If reinstated and picked up by a team, could Tiki withstand the hits at his age? He has been out of the league for four years. And is he in shape? Not just healthy, but football shape to endure the entire season. And not 16 games, but maybe 18. Only time will tell. Again, even if there is a 2011 season.
