It's getting that time of year again that the Hard Knocks team over at HBO start throwing teams in a pool to choose from so they can get a distinct look at the current team during their training camp. And once again the Atlanta Falcons name has been thrown out there by Yahoo sports. And just like last year I say NO. Hard Knocks is more of a distraction than a hey, look at my team and how good or dysfunctional we are.
If I know better, I believe owner Arthur Blank, GM Thomas Dimitroff, and HC Mike Smith will welcome the offer but in the end will say NO once again. Hard Knocks will like to show off the team from the south because they came so close to earning a trip to the Super Dome last year. Also, it is TE Tony Gonzales's last year, and incoming RB Steven Jackson joins the Falcons. All these will be good showoffs for the nation. But this team is a tight bunch that is all busy with a little bit of fun, but still remains professional. This team wants no part of any distractions that a filming crew might bring to the Branch.
So look for the Atlanta Falcons to be brought up many times for the show that will begin filming next month. But that's all that will happen, the name brought up, that's it.
