Awesome gesture...

The Major League Baseball Draft is going on right now, and the Texas Rangers made it known that they were thinking about UGA baseball player Jonathan Taylor by drafting him in the 33rd round. Taylor was paralyzed in a game this year. According to Texas Rangers Scout Ryan Coe, “The kid, he’s obviously going through a tough time, and this was a way to let him know that people are thinking about him.” Coe also stated, “And you know what? The kid deserved to be drafted. He was a good player for all those years. He’s somebody we had interest in had he been healthy. He deserved the recognition to be drafted ... that’s all I can say.”

That is just an awesome gesture by the Rangers drafting him . The Rangers wanted to draft him because they had already drafted his teammate Zach Cone, and the team thought it would be a classy act to pair the teammates together. The organization needs to be commended on a job well done. This is what baseball and sports should be about. Sports, yes, is all about winning, but people come first.
