In our sights...

The first hurdle came yesterday and a definite location of the new Atlanta Falcons stadium was set in stone. The Falcons will set to open their new stadium in 2017 in downtown Atlanta, staying in the city limits and Fulton County. The Falcons have two locations that they are looking at, both directly north and south of the Georgia Dome. If one location falls through, they will take the other. The Falcons are set to pay $800 million  and the remaining $200 million will come from the hotel/motel tax in the city. Along with this plan, the Falcons will help revitalize the area around the dome and the new stadium, with eventually imploding the Georgia Dome. More updates on this project as they come...
