It's almost here fans, the start of the 2011 college football season. And in my opinion, it can't get here fast enough. Starting this year's campaign will be the Georgia Bulldogs hosting the Boise State Broncos at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The top 25 preseason ranking have come out and UGA is 22nd and the Broncos come in at a strong number seven in the USA Today Poll. Coming in at one, two, and three are Oklahoma (42), Alabama(13), and Oregon (2).
Practices for UGA started yesterday over in Athens, Ga in the 'dawg' days of summer. The first two games are going to be tough for the bulldogs, with the opening game versus Boise State which is essentially a home game for UGA, then travel back to Athens, Ga to host the 2010 SEC runner up South Carolina Gamecocks, in what is known as the Border War between these two state universities.
