After the league owners and the players talked last Wednesday (June 1) behind closed doors in Chicago before all were to meet that Friday in St. Louis, all went well and it seemed like an agreement could come soon. This meeting was without all the lawyers, just NFL personnel from both sides wanting to get an agreement signed. Then the lawyers had to have a say, today. They are wanting to put a stop on the judges deadline to get an agreement done. These lawyers are just being, well lawyers. Yes, some probably are fans, but most important to them is their job. The longer they delay, the more they get paid. They are going to keep delaying and delaying while they are pocketing their money.
This lockout should have never gone as far as it has gone so far. Let the people that know something about football make all the decisions, so this league can get back in order playing football games. It's kind of funny how both sides get together, minus all the lawyers, and say enough is enough, lets get a deal done. And progress is made. Then the lawyers step in and say, wait a minute? And we are back to square one. The lawyers think everyone involved are being secretive, and they should be involved too. Well, no, they shouldn't be involved anymore if all they want to do is linger the process of coming up with a new collective bargaining agreement.
There's 9-million on the table folks, work out how to split it up!!!
