Defensive end position could be solidified...

DE Richard Seymour: photo/nfl.com
So the latest talks about the Atlanta Falcons has former New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders DE Richard Seymour in discussions with the Falcons to sure up the yet solidified defensive end position opposite of Osi Umenyiora, who signed with the Falcons earlier in the offseason. This is only talks right at this moment, but even talk makes this a sense of excitement for fans and even the Falcons. Could a workout, physical, and signing be next on the agenda? The Atlanta Falcons haven't had two good DE, well, for as long as I can remember.

For the past six years the Dirty Birds have had John Abraham to man just one side with platooning players on the other. With Abraham now released, Falcons are moving on to make the D line top notch. But with all that said, Umenyiora and Seymour are both 30+, which might get two or maybe three good years out of them. Only time will tell. Stay tuned to see what happens.
