Camping at the Branch...

So the best season of the year is upon us, well, to me anyway. Football is back!!! Majority of teams open training camp today, July 26. The Falcons open camp today at Flowery Branch, Ga. with two practices, walk through at 10:30 am and full practice at 3:30 pm. To me, training camp would be tough because I'm not in football shape. But for a lot of the veteran players, this must seem like a cake walk now. Remembering back to the old school days when there were two full out practices in the hot summer heat, and maybe add a few laps in there if things were not done up to the coaches standards. But not today, under the new CBA laws created by Commissioner Roger Goodell, these practices are babied. Can't hit hard, can't have more than one full practice. I understand keeping players fresh and injury free for the regular season. If it were left up to me, rest players in rotation, and since most teams have an indoor facility, one practice indoors, one outdoors. But I just write about this, I have no decision making authority in this matter.

But putting all that aside, it's great to have football back in the fold. All Falcons players are signed and have reported to camp. Lets lace up those cleats and strap on those helmets. Preparation begins today for all teams for the ultimate goal, the LOMBARDI. Check back for updates throughout camp.
